A game of Roulette is simplicity itself, though before playing you should familiarize yourself with the layout of the table and wheel, the basic rules of the game, and the various betting options (see The Wheel and the Table and The Rules). Here’s how play proceeds:

• Place your bet: Using chips you’ve purchased from the table’s croupier or dealer or from the online bank, place a bet on one or more of the numbers or other options offered by the markings on the Roulette table. You can place your chips until the moment the dealer calls, “No more bets!”
• Watch and wait: Enjoy the excitement as the croupier gives the wheel a spin in one direction and rolls the ball along its perimeter in the opposite direction, then everyone waits for the ball to clatter to a stop on the winning pocket.
• Collect your winnings: If you have a winning bet, the croupier will pay you (see The Odds).
